It is a perfect place to stretch. swim, canoe, surf and snorkel. The Waikiki beach is most busy and most popular among visitors from both within the city as well as abroad. A visit to this beach will allow you to see the Diamond Head ( a dormant volcano) and Kapiolani Park as well. Ala Moana Beach also known as the 'Path to the sea' is situated west to the Waikiki beach. This beach is widely known as a popular destination for swimming, surfing, and body boarding. The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve - The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is a perfect place in Honolulu to explore nature. The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, located 10 miles from the Waikiki beach is primarily responsible for the conservation of marine life in the Bay. The nature preserve which has been declared the best beach in America is visited heavily by the visitors because of its natural beauty, marine life and variety of available activities like fishing, canoeing, picnicking in a coconut grove and viewing the park's many historic sites. Iolani Palace - Built by the last king of Hawaii, the Iolani Palace is the last remnant of the monarchy in Honolulu. Though initially after the monarchy was subverted, the palace was highly neglected,
it is today a treasure for the Hawaiian people on the whole. Iolani Palace is also important in the sense that it is the only royal palace in the entire United States and is a perfect place if you want to know more about the culture and history of Hawaii.

Pearl Harbor - The name of Pearl Habour evokes an image of death and destruction which happened during the 2nd world war. However, you will still not want to miss out a visit to this place simply because you have heard so much about it. It is a place that will drwa you to itself. Pearl Harbour, which was originally a river is now the only naval base that has been officially declared a historic landmark of the country. This harbour houses three important memorials - the USS Arizona Memorial, the Battleship Missouri Memorial and the and the USS Bowfin Museum.

Other attractions - Kahana Valley State Park, Waikiki Aquarium, Honolulu Zoo, Foster's Botanical Gardens.
