The Mall

people. Two main meeting places of the Mall are the Ridge and Scandal Point.
Jakhu Hill
Jakhu Hill (8000 ft) is the tallest peak in neighborhood of Shimla. Once you
ascend the hill, you can see picturesque view of the town. An ancient temple
of Lord Hanuman has been constructed at the top of the hill. Number of monkeys
have made the temple their residence. Tourists can enjoy feeding these monkeys.

Christ Church
This is second oldest church in Northern India. It sits on the Ridge.

Shimla State Museum
Shimla State Museum hosts the cultural wealth of the

Housed in the Viceregal Lodge, Indian Institute of Advanced Studies was built in 1884-88
during the British times. It has spacious gardens and is encircled by beautiful
pine trees. The atmosphere is right for the students of art.
Summer Hill
Summer Hill (6500ft) was used by Mahatma Gandhi to stay during his
visits to Shimla. It is at the distance of 5kms from the Ridge.
Himachal Pradesh University is also located on the Summer Hill.
Annandale
Annadale is called the playground of Shimla. It is located 2-4km from the Ridge. Here
one can have games like cricket, picnics and polo.
