Temple, located 11km from the city, offers picturesque view of the valley.
The wildlife sanctuaries attract huge number of visitors during the month of
April - June and September - October. Hot Springs are located 4km from the
city. Several monasteries are also located in Kullu region.
Adventure
Kullu Valley has innumerable places for trout fishing. These places include
Katrain, Raison, Kasol and Naggar. And there are more. Along the river
Tirthan near Larji, in the Sainj Valley and in the Hurla khud. Several trek
routes pass through this valley. You can entertain yourself with activities

Manu Temple and Tibetan Monastery are other popular places. Arjun Gufa where
Arjuna, one of the Pandava brothers is believed to have performed his
penance is here.
Festivals
Celebrated in October Kullu Dussehra is the biggest festival here. When
Dussehra celebrations come to an end in the rest of the country, they begin
at Kullu. Over 600 local deities come to pay homage to Lord Raghunath. This
is a time when the valley is at its colorful best.

To Reach
Air
Kullu Airport is located 9km from the town. Regular flights operate for
Delhi, Shimla and Chandigarh. Taxis and bus services are available for
reaching town from the airport.
Rail
Jogindernagar, nearest railway station, is at 95km from Kullu. Buses and
taxis are available to reach Kullu from station.
Road
Kullu is located on National Highway 21 and well-connected with Delhi,
Chandigarh and Manali. Deluxe, luxury and ordinary buses link Kullu to other
towns of Himachal Pradesh and Delhi.
