This 100 years old train has been designated World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Guinness Book of 'Rail Facts and Feats' has termed Kalka-Shimla Railways as 'greatest narrow gauge engineering feat in India'. The train covers 96km stretch in 6 hours, trudging through 103 tunnels and more than 900 curves, moving at the speed of 20 to 25km per hour. The journey commences at Kalka, 2100 Ft above sea level and ends at Shimla, 5100 Ft above sea level. Through the journey you pass wonderful time watching the wonderful natural scenes.
